Comments: Along with Music in the Abstract and Countdown to London, these are the best shows from this tour so far, and I think this one might have the lead or a tie with Countdown to London for the best, knocking Music in the Abstract in third place so far. The sound is amazing here, withe everything very well represented. It sounds near soundboard, but there is some near talking that is barely heard, but there. The audience overall is very low in the mix, almost non-existant at most times. There is also another source, which is much less quality, though still very clear. Its complete with only Limelight and Closer to the Heart with cuts in it, though they are both not very noticable. The highs and lows on this show are excellent, with a good balance and mix of instruments. The performance has always been a good one. This show you have to get right now or you will die without it.

The high end seems a bit brighter, which makes it a bit harsh to listen to. The bass is lost in the mix at times, though the sound quality overall is excellent. There are a few clicks on the last few songs. This is a show you should get, but I think Countdown to London is slightly more listenable, definatly.

Comments: Another amazing Signals show, and one that isn't too common. I think that it is probably one of the best from the tour, slightly below the second night in New York and the Wembly show, but definatly under those. The signal level is a bit low, the volumne needs to be turned up real loud to hear it, but it sounds awesome. There is little to no tape hiss to be heard, suggesting maybe a first generation source, or even, dare I say, the analog master cassettes were used for this show! Anyway, everything sounds good. The EQ tends for the high end a little more, giving the low end and bass extension a tiny feeling, but that can definatly be fixed with your computer. The performance is a good one too. The boys are in great spirit to be here in the German areas. I think that its funny what Alex does in 2112, you just have to feel so sad for that poor Geddy! I do also think that this is the complete show without too many cuts or edits, if any. A show that you should have in your collection, definatly.

Comments: Here is a very rare show from the early portion of the Signals tour. I think the boys are losing a bit of steam that they regained in December, but the overall performance isn't terrible at all. They just seem to be a little tired and a bit flat tonight, especially Geddy, who seems to be in a very akward mood tonight. The sound is okay here, nothing too special, but its pretty good. There is a lack of fidelity, but the mix is okay. All of the instruments are definatly audible, but the bass can get a bit lost in the mix at sometimes throughout the recording, making it a little uneven soundwise. There is some tape hiss, but not too distracting. The first four or five songs start at about a C/C+ grade, but around Digital Man or so, the grade becomes more or so a B grade, much better. A show for the collectors.

Comments: Probably in the middle pack of the Signals shows, as it is not the best set of shows that I have come across. A note, the first show is missing the ecore (everything after Countdown, to put it in a simple sense) so that show is esentially incomplete. The second night is complete, and it has slightly better sound, not much better, but a shade or so. The sound on both of them is rocky, not great, but still okay. Everything can be heard, but there is some static and distortion and rocky edges that make it a B. The audience isn't too loud for the most part, so you can actually hear the band. A decent set of shows that might make its way into your collection at one point or another, but the sound will definatly put some off as it is very rocky.

Comments: Here is a definatly great Signals show. There are a few notes that I would like to add though before I beef on how great this show is. The speed is running about 3-4% fast on this one, you can edit that on your own time, but I will not trade a speed corrected version because it is not the actual release, and do not trade the speed corrected version if you do edit the show, thank you. Now what we have here, is an excellent performance, and one of the better sounding Signals shows, by a long-shot too. There is some tape hiss and distortion, but you can definatly overlook that because all of the instruments come through very clearly. The bass and vocals are very well picked up, and the mix is very good for an older recording. Now, onto this amazing performance that we get here. This thing is amazing! The atmosphere of the overall performance is definatly excellent, and the boys are playing phenominally tonight, and we get a very passionate version of Red Barchetta, and a great version of Chemistry to add to this already awesome performance. This show is a must have because it is a really rare Signals show, and the sound and performance are completely excellent, get this show now!

Comments: Even if this is very incomplete, this show is awesome. The performance isn't as good as the night before, a bit less punchy, but they play great tonight. Geddy is in a very playful mood with the crowd tonight. Now, the sound is the story here. Oh my god, this is probably one of the best Signals shows out there, beating the Montreal shows, but not quite as good as the Wembly or the second night in New York, but the sound quality is overall phenominal, and probably one of the best that I have heard on a Signals show in a long time. There is some tape hiss, but no hint of distortion or even overload. The instruments sound incredible, the mix is near perfection, the highs and lows are extremely good here. The main downfall here is that it is incomplete, but not terrible. Most of the show is cut out, and some of Closer to the Heart is missing, and thats the only cut of what is here. A show from the Signals tour that every single person should have in their collection at one time or another.

Comments: The reason I rate this show so high is because of the awesome performance. It is only days into the Signals tour, and they completely rock tonight! Its awesome, definatly one of my favorite performances of the whole tour. The sound isn't the best of the tour, nearing the worst I think I have. There is some phasing, huge distortion and speed problems throughout. The performance really almost makes up for it because it is so fun to listen to because of that reason, I think that is why its a good show. More for the die-hards.

Comments: Another best of from this tour. Its so hard to find a decent Signals recording, so this is definatly a must have because the sound here is excellent. I think that it competes with Countdown to London, but the tape hiss here keeps it from being the best. There is a good amount of atmosphere with the recording. The bass is excellent, as with the vocals, guitar, and the drums sounding amazing. The mix is perfect, nothing overpowering or anything, and there is so little distance, you would think that this is a soundboard if you weren't paying close attention. There is a cut in the beginning of "Closer to the Heart" but not too much is lost, only the intro to it. The performance here is excellent, with great versions of "Spirit of Radio" and "2112" being the standouts tonight. I think its a must-have recording.

Comments: Another middle sectioned Signals show, one that gets better as the show progresses through the songs. The sound starts off very distant, C+ grade at the first point. When I was listening, when The Spirit of Radio started, I couldn't tell it did! The audience was so loud in the mix, It was really unpleasent. After a couple of songs, the sound gets up to a B grade, which is the grade that I initially gave it. The bass resopnse here is definatly great, it sounds so clean and so very clear, one of the only instruments thats really all that clear. The drums are a little low in the mix, and the guitar is really upfront. Geddy is in front as well, his voice is a little nazal sounding though, very high, much different than other versions of any Signals show. I think that the overall sound on this show is pretty good, much Similar to "Excitment so Thick," but with much better bass resopnse. The performance here is better than the sound. I think that they were definatly giving those Canadians something to say eh to, eh. Overall, a Signals show that you can pass, but better than some shows from the overall tour.

Comments: The ultimate Signals experience. The sound here is definatly excellent, with every instrument heard incredibly clear, as the mix is near perfection. The sound is soundboard, I swear! The lack of audience interference, it seems to be recorded on stage if not a soundboard recording, its that damn good! The drums on a whole make this show amazing, and listening to the drum solo is near to pure heaven. The performance here is pretty good, not best of tour, but definatly not worst of tour, for sure. Geddy's bass sound is great, very Rickenbacher like, as he was playing. Alex mess' up a few times here and there (Check out Digital Man) but nothing that would detract from this definatly fine performance. Nothing comes close, except for Distant Signals, Signals De Quebec, and A Digital Forum, because this recording is definatly that good. A must have, naturally for being amazing.

Comments: A decent Signals show, it has okay sound and a great performance. There is tape hiss with the recording, given that it is several generations down the line, and there is a great amount of distance with the overall recording. This isn't completely unlistenable, though. The band has good seperation and everything can be heard at times, though it is overall very hard to hear the band because of the distance with them. The performance is pretty good. They seem to be enjoying themselves as much as they can, and they really seem to be playing very good tonight. There are some better signals shows out there, but not very many. This is definatly in the middle class of all of the Signals shows out there.

This is one of the must have shows from the Signals era.

Comments: Not best of tour sound-wise, but has a decent performance. The sound here is actually very good, it sounds very clean, crisp, and very open sounding. Not all is perfect with this recording though. There is some slight compression with the overall recording, but thats not too distracting. The most distracting thing about this is that the speed runs slower than a normal recording would. That is what really ticks me off with this recording, because I can handle the crowd noise, and the compression, but the speed really just makes me turn off the recording at times. But, I think that the sound here is pretty clear. The performance isn't best of tour either, but I think that they gave a pretty good performance to the New York corwd. A more collectors item than a casual collectors.

While it does sound pretty good, I think that performance is what really is good here. The performance and sound aren't as good as before, so I can't really give this a higher grade. The sound here is by no means bad, but I think it could be way better, without the distant and the overall distortion and tape hiss. The reason for the tape hiss is because this is a second generation source, which has much more tape hiss than regular first generation shows. There are some songs missing, mostly the "Intro" "Spirit of Radio" and some of "Tom Sawyer" is gone. I think this is a collectors item more than anything.

Kid or Distant Signals, but I think it sounds pretty good for a Signals show. There is some tape hiss, and it has a little distance keeping it from being rated a little higher than this. The last few songs get muted, but in the middle of La Villa, it gets normal. The audience isn't too loud, and the mix is pretty much perfect for a Signals show. This show is only available in SHN format, I cannot change it because I suck at changing audio file formats, but SHN still sounds really great. Not the best Signals show, but one of the better ones.

The sound here isn't bad by any means, a tad compressed sounding, and it is distant and has some low-end distortion at some parts of the concert. The show here is complete, without many edits or cuts that are really noticable in the recording. The performance is definatly something to get crazy about with this recording. The crowd is so happy to be there, and so is that band, it really shows with how great that they played tonight. Geddy is talkative, and they give the best and rare live version of "Chemistry" which is truely amazing. This is a great early-tour show that should be in every Signals lovers collection.

Comments: In the better sections of the Signals tour. The sound here is quite good for a recording this old, but the tape hiss shows the age of the recording, suggesting that the source is a 2nd generation tape. If it is, its one of the best from the tour. The drum sounds excellent tonight, and the rest of the band comes in fine. I only have about 2 main complaints with this recording. The guitar can get a little low in the mix, but I definatly think that this is more of a drum mix, so to speak, but the guitars and such are still heard well out of the band. And the final problem. The crazy lady who screams with every song. She is deafening, I mean deafening! She is so loud, it can sometimes drown out the music! I'm seriously not kidding. This is also one of the best performances from the tour. They give a great show and sound to their home in Canada, and that is probably why that one chick is so freaking loud! This is definatly one of the best Signals shows to date. With all of the negatives aside, this is definatly a must have recording from the Signals era of the band, with great sound and a great performance, you definatly cannot go wrong with this one.

Comments: This is indeed a good boxset. I didn't want to list the same setlist 3 times, so I just made it the setlist for all of the shows. Let me set this straight, this is one of the best Signals shows out there, but probably not as good as Countdown to London, but I wouldn't know because I don't own that show (now I do, look above to see the review). The sound here is actually excellent, no distortion, clipping, or any tape hiss which is really hard to find with any Signals shows. The performances for all of the shows seem to be really good, they give their all, with only the 3rd night being a tiny bit flat, but the first 2 nights are really amazing. This is a must have for Signals lovers. I do want you to know something else as well. When you want this boxset, you get the whole thing. There is no "I just want this show" or "I only want 2 of the shows" you get the full thing, and thats final.

Comments: I have been finding some pretty good Signals shows lately, and this is definatly no exception here. The sound is excellent considering its age, even better than Signals from London Remastered and the unremastered edition. There is some distortion and tape hiss, showing the age of the recroding, but the band is captured well and the audience is loud, but they do not drown out the music fully. There is some phasing with the music, but definatly not bad at all. The band, especially Geddy, give a great performance tonight, and this is indeed the last show from the tour. The source was different from Digital Reproductions release The Last Signal, and I think this is a great upgrade. A must have show.

Comments: For the first 20-30 minutes or so, this thing is terrible! Almost unlistenable, and I don't say that to many things, but the first 30 minutes or so of this show is very muffled, distant, way to distant, may I add, and too much audience noise. Then, after the Camera Eye or so, this thing sounds great. Its one of those shows that starts off terrible, then it gets alot better once you listen to it. Taken from the 1st gen source, this is probably the best show that we are going to get, and thats a shame. The performance was actually very good, but the first few minutes was just terrible, but after those minutes it becomes so much more listenable, and incredible. This is a great source that (unless you don't want the 20 first minutes) is pretty good at the end, but still a great performance.

I personally don't think that this is as good as Countdown to London or Signals De Quebec in the sound quality, but it is ultimatly very good for a Signals show. There isn't too much distance, luckily. The band starts out very distant, but by "Tom Sawyer" the sound here is exceptionally better. This does not have a screaming lady next to the taper like another great source that I mention above! The performance here is also incredible. They give the crowd something to shout about, like they were definatly doing in "The Spirit of Radio" way too much! The overall mix is very good, but I wish that the bass frecuencies were a little better, and I also wish that the vocals were a little stronger, suggestion that this show was tapped by Alex's side or something. But, definatly a show from the Signals tour that is a must have.

The performance is excellent, its really a keeper performance, they are at the top of their game, it really seems. There is a little compression, if you listen closely enough, but I think that the overall sound here is definatly good. But Rush was rocking their balls off tonight, and it really shows. "Subdivisions" is in fine form this night, as the performance is at its peak, with this heavily booted day. A great show, nice show in your collection.

Comments: This is the weakest version of the show that I own, and I only have 2 shows, so that ain't saying thats its acutally all the bad. The speed is also running a little too fast, about 5 or 7 % or something like that, but the overall quality isn't actually that bad. The performance is the highlight of the show, but this isn't the definitave version of the show, that has to go to Signals from London Remastered, but this is still a pretty nice show, but there are better things than this. I think this is a good thing if your a completist.
